Edradour 10 Year Old Straight from the Cask Single Malt Whisky

Whisky Resource Note:

The Straight from the cask is a batch release from Edradour, with limited numbers being released from each cask. The flavour profile will vary between each cask release. This listing is for Cask 462.

From Master of Malt

This single malt from Edradour was distilled in October 2012. It matured for 10 years in a single sherry butt until it was opened in October 2022, producing only 856 bottles for the Straight from the Cask series. A punchy cask strength from this Highlander at 60.1% ABV, so a drop or two of water ought to open up the rich sherry character.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Layers of dried raisins and figs, with allspice, and tawny marmalade.

Palate: More raisins, spiced tea loaf, with a touch of toasted walnuts, and sticky dates.

Finish: Allspice and clove linger, along with dried currants.
