Fettercairn Warehouse 14 Batch 001 Old Single Malt Whisky

2023 saw the first release from our Warehouse collection with the arrival of Warehouse 14 Batch No.001 which was crafted from a hand-picked selection of ex-bourbon barrels and local beer barrels; filled with spirit that flowed from the Fettercairn stills in 2016 and has since been maturing in Fettercairn Warehouse 14.

COLOUR

Natural colour of shimmering gold.

TASTE

Vanilla, myriads of enticing tropical fruits, honey and floral charm.

FINISH

Warm toasty maltiness, tropical fruits with layers of crème caramel, apricot tart, cacao, soft wood spices and a pleasing nuttiness.

From Master of Malt

Fettercairn Warehouse 14 is here! It’s the fifth and, sadly, final limited release in this series that has taken the Fettercairn tropical house style on an adventure through various cask styles and warehouse environments. For the first time, whisky maker Gregg Glass picked a selection of whiskies from within Warehouse 14, including aged first-fill and second-fill bourbon barrels, and then finished them in a trio of beer barrels: stout, dark ale, and pale ale, before marrying the merry lot together. It was bottled at 51.2% ABV, non-chill-filtered, and with natural colour.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Toasty maltiness, charred pineapple, woody spice, and some creamy nutty elements.

Palate: More tropical fruit, crème caramel, dried apricot, and ginger are supported by a rich, chocolatey backdrop.

Finish: Long and rewarding with more chocolate, nutty goodness, and a bright flicker of refreshing mango.
