Our second release in the Warehouse Collection, Warehouse 2 Batch.002 was matured in a combination of 1st fill ex-American Rye barrels and 1st fill ex-bourbon barrels. Since 2009, the casks rested in Warehouse 2, gathering character and flavour before being bottled in 2021.
COLOUR
The natural colour of amber gold.
TASTE
Sweet honey, sugared almonds and soft spices married with tropical fruit notes and sweet vanilla.
FINISH
Layers of tropical and citrus fruits, sweet cassia bark, moist ginger cake, warming maple syrup and roasted Arabica coffee.

From Master of Malt
This is a second batch from Fettercairn's Warehouse Collection! Following on from the marvellous first expression in the series, this one was matured in a combination of first-fill rye and first-fill bourbon barrels (selected from the eponymous Warehouse 2, of course), imparting sweetness and spice in delicious harmony. Rye casks aren't seen all that often in Scotch whisky production, so this is a rather intriguing expression indeed – and tasty too! A release of 6,000 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Cinnamon buns, honeycomb, a little Turkish delight floral freshness, paired with soft cedar notes building.
Palate: Maple syrup, candied orange peels, more cinnamon, now with ginger and anise in tow.
Finish: Drying cacao notes appear on the finish, with citrus remaining constant.
