This addition to the Glen Moray Warehouse 1 series sees whisky distilled in June 2014 matured entirely in oloroso sherry casks. Only 1,950 bottles were produced, at cask strength. Naturally coloured and non-chill filtered, with plenty of rich fruit and nut character imparted to this single malt Scotch from the Speyside distillery.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Plenty of sherry influence, figs in spiced syrup, and toasted hazelnuts.
Palate: Sticky dried fruits, prunes, spicy gingerbread, and toasted fruit loaf spread with butter.
Finish: Peppery spice, with roasted almonds.
From The Whisky Exchange
A 2014 Glen Moray single malt from the distillery's Warehouse 1 series that was fully matured in oloroso sherry casks and bottled at cask strength. Aromas of sweet malt, oak, brambles, quince, cacao and toasted hazelnuts fill the nose, complemented by notes of liquorice, autumn leaves, walnut oil, dried fruit and oaky spice throughout the palate and lingering in the finish.
