From Master of Malt
A marvellously well-aged GlenAllachie here, aged for over two decades! This is the first batch of the 21 Year Old, and the single malt was bottled from five Pedro Ximénez puncheons and hogsheads filled in 1997 and 1998, blended by Billy Walker himself. Just 1,600 bottles were released at 51.4% ABV without chillfiltering, packed full of rich chocolate and spices alongside honeyed citrus.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Spiced dark chocolate, with roasted coffee bean, flamed orange peel and cinnamon sugar.
Palate: Classic sherried notes of Christmas cake, leading into more chocolate, spiced autumn fruit and candied peels.
Finish: Butterscotch lingers with gingersnap biscuits.
