A fruity Glenfarclas single malt bottled exclusively for The Whisky Exchange after 15 years in sherry-seasoned oak. The result is sweet aromas of crème brûlée, raisins, toffee and vanilla custard on the nose, complemented by notes of blackcurrant jam, liquorice, sticky ginger cake, fudge, fruitcake and speculoos biscuits.

NOSE
Crispy brûlée topping gives way to reveal stewed raisins, cinder toffee and an almost-expected creamy custard. Baked apples appear, sprinkled with a handful of Madeira-soaked raisins and drizzled with caramel sauce.
PALATE
Rich toffee and singed raisins to begin, leading to a spiced fruitcake core. Rum n' raisin fudge is followed by gently spicy speculaas biscuits and blackcurrant jam. Soft notes of barrel char and liquorice hide at the back with dark and sticky ginger cake.
FINISH
Rich fruit cake and spiced fruit loaf linger.
COMMENT
Layers of fruit, spice, fudge and caramel that never gets too sweet or too heavy thanks to a sprinkling of char and toffee – well-balanced and complex.
