We are delighted to present the 3rd edition single cask whisky to mark our partnership with Professional Golfer Lee Westwood. This whisky has been matured in a refill American bourbon barrel for 24 years and has a beautiful depth of flavour with orchard fruits, vanilla fudge and toasted oak.
The spirit chosen for this exclusive cask was distilled in 1997, the same year as Lee made his Ryder Cup debut. Lee was partnered with Nick Faldo in the foursomes and fourballs delivering a famous European victory at Valderrama leading to a run of six home victories by Europe maintained until 2018. Lee has a proud Ryder Cup history and is the player with the most appearances in Ryder Cup Winning teams.
The cask chosen for this exclusive cask release was a refill American oak barrel. The cask was initially filled with unpeated spirit distilled on the 7th of December 1997 in our unique straight neck pot stills. This result is an exceptional cask with the underlying fruit driven character of the Loch Lomond Distillery very much in evidence.
