Campbeltown and the Kintyre Peninsula has long been a source of inspiration for artists locally and from further afield. In 2022, Glen Scotia was delighted to partner with Scottish artist, Alice Angus, who over a number of months visited the distillery and surrounding Campbeltown to absorb its essence, culminating in four magnificent paintings, which Alice entitled ‘Spirit Safe’. We felt that artwork this special deserved a very special limited edition bottling.
Only 120 bottles of this incredibly limited release are available worldwide. To celebrate work this special, we selected remnants of a deep and distinguished unpeated 30-year-old single malt, matured in European oak casks, taste tested by Alice and Iain McAlister during Alice’s residency at the distillery. Each of the 120 bottles bears one of Alice’s four ‘Spirit Safe’ paintings, presented in a rigid display box which makes them a fantastic addition to any Campbeltown single malt lover’s whisky shelf or collection.
