In August 2022, the Tamdhu Dedication Society convened to select the society’s next single cask bottling in a limited balloted event with only sixteen members from across the globe in attendance.
Four carefully selected Single Casks were presented in a tasting guided by Sandy McIntyre (Distillery Manager), Gordon Dundas (Brand Ambassador), and Emma Newton (Blender). And the group was unanimous in its selection of a first fill European oak sherry hogshead from 2004.
When nosing, the group agreed on warm croissants and zesty dark chocolate orange, with hints of soft leather, toasted almonds, juicy plump raisins and a gentle warmth from hints of ginger and spice. To taste, a luxurious black forest gateau with lashings of blackcurrant and cherry jam. A rich sweetness from dried fruits and vanilla comes through with the familiar taste of dry sherry. The Single Cask provides a long, lingering, balanced finish, with dried fruits along with sweet treacle and hints of spice.
Only 275 bottles of the Dedication Society Single Cask 2023 are available to purchase exclusively online and from the distillery during SOSWF.
Currently only available to purchase in the UK while stocks last. Bottles will be available to purchase Internationally from June. Please join the Tamdhu Dedication Society for further international release details.
