Tamnavulin has dabbled with red wine cask finishes before, but this is something new from the Speyside distillery. It's gone and finished this single malt in casks which previously held German pinot noir! It's imparted a load of red fruit and dry spices to the whisky, and we wouldn't be against trying this alongside a meal.
