As this example of Fife’s finest matures, it develops an inviting creamy nose, with enticing notes of apricots, vanilla custard and cardamom pods. The palate offers more creaminess with flavours of crème brûlée and Werther's Originals. Some distillate driven peaches appear with orchard fruit and a light pepperiness towards the finish. There is a good length on the finish, with lingering spiced butter and shortbread. This kind of complexity only comes with age – a fine reward for Francis’ legendary patience.
