Fettercairn Warehouse 2 Batch 001 Old Single Malt Whisky

2021 saw the first release from our Warehouse collection with the arrival of Warehouse 2 Batch No.001 which was crafted from a hand-picked selection of first fill American and European oak casks; filled with spirit that flowed from the Fettercairn stills in 2010 before being placed to mature in Warehouse 2.

COLOUR

The natural colour of amber gold.

TASTE

Melon, pear and honey with vanilla and ginger notes.

FINISH

Enjoy creamy coffee, grapefruit, spiced apple and cinnamon.

Whisky Resource Note

Information is quite limited on the official website, however more facts can be found as follows

From Master of Malt

A fab Fettercairn here, the first release from its Warehouse Collection! This one was matured in the distillery's Warehouse 2, and drawn from five different types of cask: Port pipes, Vasyma sherry butts, Tevasa sherry barrels, unseasoned Vasyma barrels, and ex-bourbon barrels. There's a lot to dig into here, though manages to remain approached even with the complexity imparted by this cask recipe.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Grilled peached, honeycomb, earthy coffee with some chocolatey sweetness underneath.

Palate: Festive spices, buttery biscuits, a splash of fresh greengages and pear.

Finish: Cinnamon and nutmeg last on the long finish, with more honeyed sweetness too.
